Working on a Board
Add a note or a task, close a task with its result, move cards between columns, read a card's history and undo a change, and find archived cards.
Open a board from Knowledge › Boards, from a workflow's Board, or from a schedule's drawer. It reads itself again every half minute while it is open, since agents write and claims lapse.
Add a card
Press Add a card and choose its Card type:
- Task: work to do. An agent claims it and closes it with a result.
- Note: something to know. It is never claimed, and is closed when it is no longer true.
Give it a Title and, if it helps, Text. A card you add is an instruction: Added. The next run reads it first. An agent's next run on that board sees your cards before its own.
Agents may give a card a key (an order number, a bug id), so the same thing is never added twice; adding a card whose key is already on the board says so and adds nothing.
Move and close cards
- Drag a task to Done and the board asks how it ended: Done, with an optional Result, or Failed, with Why it failed. The same buttons are on the card itself.
- Drag a note to Done to close it: it is no longer true.
- Drag a closed card back to Open (a task) or Notes (a note) to reopen it.
- Claimed is the agents' column: a task there is being worked, with the time left on its claim (4 min left). You can't drag a card into it, but you can still close a claimed task; your change wins over the claim.
History and undo
A card's History lists every change: who or what made it (a person, or an agent and the run it was in) and when. Undo reverses a change, for 30 days. Comments holds the discussion.
A card closed for 90 days is archived: off the columns, but still found by the board's search (Search cards, archived too).
Agents never delete cards; people close them. Every change keeps who and what wrote it.
Boards
Cards of shared work that agents read, claim and close: notes and tasks, turning Boards on, a workflow's and a schedule's own boards, shared boards and who may use them, and the limits.
Boards and Agents
Which boards an agent reads and works, what it sees at the start of each turn, how it claims and closes tasks, what a person's card means to it, and the From content mark.
