Getting Started

Create an account, create an organisation, and get to a first run.

Creating an account

Sign up with your name, work email and a password of at least 12 characters, or with Continue with Google. It is free to start, and no card is needed.

We email you a link to confirm your address. Clicking it confirms the address and signs you in — no password needed — and it lasts 24 hours. You can sign in and create an organisation before you confirm; until you do, the workspace picker reminds you, with Resend the email.

If you signed up with a password and later continue with Google using the same address, the two are linked once Google vouches for the address, and we email you that they were. A password on an address you had not yet confirmed is removed at that point: sign in with Google, or reset the password.

Creating an organisation

Everything belongs to an organisation — agents, runs, billing. On first entry you create one and become its owner:

  • Organisation name — what everyone you invite sees. An admin can rename it later under Settings → Organisation.
  • Workspace address — your organisation's own address, <address>.synapseorch.com: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. It can't be changed later.

A new organisation starts on the Free plan.

The setup questions

On first entry, owners and admins are asked a few questions about what the organisation does, whether you have keys for an AI provider, and which two models to use. Each one can be skipped, and they exist to set the workspace up and suggest starting workflows worth having rather than to profile you. See Templates and setup.

Your first run

  1. Pick a model. The setup questions ask for your two models. Platform models work straight away on the plan's $2.00 monthly model allowance — see Models and the wallet — or an admin adds your own provider key under Settings → Models.
  2. Open a template, or describe what you want. Synapse AI turns a description into a working workflow, and tells you what it built.
  3. Run it. Run asks what the run should work on, then you watch the steps execute.

From there, Agents and Workflows cover the building blocks — they work the same on Cloud as self-hosted.

What is different from self-hosting

Building is the same: the engine, the step types, the tools and the API. What Cloud adds is the infrastructure, the team model and platform models; see Cloud or self-host.
